Kalpavriksha…#poetry

(Mango tree and corner of my 🏠)

Beautiful name,
Malcorado (Mankurad)
Worldwide fame
and high demand.

Sparrows build nests,
snakes release their skins on branches.
Every day in the shade I rest,
attend webinars, workshops
and online classes.

Branches sway on the house,
to provide a shady roof,
children follow the signs
by hiding the treasure at the base.

For the ceremony,
a pylon of your leaves
is hung on the door.

For weddings,
a coconut is placed on a small kalash
and decorated with your leaves.
Exchanged and followed as tradition.

We get Juicy fruits,
purplish pink wild orchid flowers,
furniture, showpiece and firewood.
from you.

You are useful from root to leaf,
Is this the reason, you are called Kalpavriksha for ages?

If you want to meet me…..

If you want to meet me,
then come under the neem tree
on a moonlit night,
the moon will be the witness
of our love
and the stars
will be the guests.

If you want to meet me……

I would be honored if you Visit here and
read the rest of my poem.

Thank you for reading.

Close To You …#poetry

When you are not around,
I talk to you.
Looking at you in the mirror
of imagination,
I smile at you.

Communicating with you
without words,
I get lost in you,
so sometimes
words fall short.

Dusk reminds me of you
and the surreal image of yours
comes in front of me
and I think
I am very close to you

Childhood Memories…..#poetry

As children, we were very naughty.
We climbed the trees
and hung on the branches.
We stoned the raw mangoes
and ate them by winking
like monkeys

We used to play
near the lake
and dive into the water
like frogs…….

I would be honored if you VISIT HERE and
read the rest of my poem

Thank you for reading.

⭐The mud heaps are heaps developed over a period of a few months with the muds of surrounding paddy fields locally known as Awadhi(Goa).

These are the same places where I used to play with my brothers and neighbouring children (classmates). I visited these places purposely, to get photographs.

Love❤️ #choka

The sight of two souls
peeked into the depths of eyes
love’s stimulated
love affair matches the soul
and the heart is love
that turns the world upside down
it’s a great success
organs feel the sense of love
lovers love the red colour

Choka: Choka of nine lines is 5/7/5/7/5/7/5/7/7. This is followed by a short poem summarizing or detailing the main poem, Hanka, or “envoy”. Tanka works as a messenger here. No title and it is unrhymed. I like to give title so title is given.
