Food Chain..#Poetry #haiku

I had a strong desire
to build my nest myself
and to achieve the construction
I brought twig by twig
from my beak.

Shaped my nest.

My beautiful nest was
on the stump
of a small tree.

One day a snake smelled it
and approached the nest.
He was starving.

I screamed in horror.

The good man,
near whose house I had built the nest,
heard my cry
and took care of my nest
and helped me.
He placed my nest in his gallery.

Now I go there, it feels so safe.

One lesson learned
the stronger eats the weaker
it’s nature’s food chain

Motherhood #poetry #haiku

The lessons of motherhood
were never learned
before becoming a mother.
After becoming a mother,
I suddenly realised
the pattern of motherhood.

I understood
when she was crying
with hunger
and when she was crying
with stomach ache.

As a child she realized
that the person
who feeds her is hers
and every time she cries
the same person comes
and feeds her
giving love and affection.

Now, as she grows older,
she learns to control her emotions.
She hides her tensions.
Now, it’s my turn.
I have to change the relation.
I have to be her friend,
so that her life would be open to me
as a book and so I think,
“I have untapped abilities, waiting to be discovered.”

Witness Our Love..#Poetry #haiku

Let’s go to a lonely
and cold place
faraway
in the woods,
where there will be
no sorrow, no tears,
only love
and affection.

Where a layer
of melted ice
can be seen
on the ground.
As the air warms up
and the trees begin to bloom,
spring arrives.

A rough track
with a wooden fence
on both sides
will take us to a cottage
in the woods,
where we will
witness our love.

I have presented two forms: haiku and tanka. The words Verdant and Emerald represent colour.

#Tankatuesday #poetrychallenge #haiku

I wrote three Haiku, using the three forms 5/7/5, 3/5/3 and 3/2/3 inspired by William Shakespeare’s Poem

An icy region
frozen milk get at the door
magical winter

Cough and cold
pinky nose and cheeks

Snowwhite place
